The Public Hearing will be held to accept and consider testimony from the public concerning the Downtown Plan. The proposed Batavia Downtown Plan would establish goals and policies specific to the downtown area. \u00a0It would be adopted as part of the City\u2019s Comprehensive Plan for the Downtown Area. \u00a0The Plan will provide policy and land use recommendations specific to the Downtown Area through Functional Subareas. \u00a0The plan also included design guidelines and implementation elements specific to the downtown area.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Hearing Draft of the Plan may be viewed at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/batavia-il-downtown-plan-hlplanning.hub.arcgis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/batavia-il-downtown-plan-hlplanning.hub.arcgis.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Downtown Area as defined in the Plan is in the central quadrant of the City roughly bounded between Lincoln Street to the west, Union Avenue to the southwest, Webster Street to the Southeast, Delia Street to the east, and Madison Street to the north, an area commonly known as Downtown Batavia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The proposed Batavia Downtown Plan may be changed, altered, modified, amended, or redrafted after the public hearing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Information regarding the proposed amendments is available for review at the Community and Economic Development Department in the City of Batavia Government Center Building during normal business hours. You may also contact the Community Development Department at 630-454-2700.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The meeting\u2019s agenda will be posted a minimum of 72 hours before the meeting at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofbatavia.net\/agendacenter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www. bataviail.gov\/agendacenter<\/a>.
