Nancy was born and raised in Port Credit, Ontario and now lives, creates and teaches art in Hamilton, Ontario. She received an Honours degree for Sociology & Anthropology attending the University of Guelph. A study abroad program through the university allowed Nancy to live and work in London, England, where her passion for art and design was awakened and rekindled. No longer content as an onlooker, she pursued her passion upon returning home to Toronto. She studied at, among others, Ryerson University, O.C.A.D. and George Brown College.

Nancy completed the Community Artist Educator Training Programme at the Art Gallery of Hamilton in 2009 as well as the Artist Educator Foundations Course (Learning Through the Arts) through the Royal Conservatory in 2011. Nancy is an advocate for art in the community, facilitating art workshops both in person and online at various locations in the Hamilton area including, her home studio, Dundas Valley School of the Arts, Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH_In Class), Centre3, Shalom Village and schools, both HWDSB and HWCDSB, and has achieved and two Ontario Artist in Education grants to bring her passion of the arts into elementary schools in the Hamilton area.

A blank canvas is inspiration for Nancy. Colour, mark making and intuition drive her to compose in a spontaneous manner, allowing the paint, pastel, mark making tool to take over. Nancy wants to capture a moment in time, frozen, and ask the viewer to imagine that movement and feeling.
