My interpretations in paint of where the water meets the land. I love where the water meets the land. The inspiration for me is very simple. There is always visual interest there. Rocks, trees, bogs, swamps, marshes. While the views can appear very still, a lot of motion is happening.
These works begin with reference from a real location. Even the smallest sketch can trigger a visual memory. These pieces often morph as I add different elements such as texture, collage and drawing to bring the viewer in. They become an expression of what I felt in that place.
