TWO STACKS

GOLDEN HOUR: A New Light
Golden hour represents a time of day where light is cut with long shadows. A time of day where reflection is not only in light, but also in introspection. This exhibition brings together a collective of artists who interpret this daily reset in their own styles and mediums.

RECLAMATION
To call for reclamation is to recognize what has gone wrong in the world. The tremor of something wrongly wounded underscores the works of the artists on view in Reclamations: four women who conjure strange beauty from that which has been stolen, degraded and denied. Joy?! Sin: with Chris Hall and Steven James
Using realistic imagery infused with absurdity, this series conveys a humorous look at life through the ailment of the psyche, demonstrating the connection between mental illness and the smiling face presented to the world. Joy?! is the parody of an outwardly happy appearance and the fragility of the self underneath.

Terroir: Broken Stone Winery by Patti Beckett
This body of work was conceived and created while participating at the Alchemy Artist Residency’s program “Alchemy Table Settings, 2021”. I was partnered with Broken Stone Winery, Prince Edward County. Many mornings were spent at Broken Stone Winery documenting the ‘terroir’ and local flora.

This year Peter Kirkland turns 57 and Paul Cvetich turns 75. Their work comes from the same allusive world of shape and movement. Peter’s painting and Paul’s sculptures interact together to spark a conversation expressing cycles of growth and decay.

Eye See You by Sophie Losinski
Join us for this experiential exhibit, “Eye See You” – an external and internal inquiry into what we see, how we see, and how we judge ourselves and others. Included in this exhibit is her haunting Dementia portrait series. A part of proceeds from the sale of this series will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario (ASO).
